for the light before and after

Sometimes New York can be so, breathtakingly beautiful.
Especially from secret parks with the best of friends.

As the season shifts lonely minds will drift

Finally got the internet up and running in our apartment, which means I can return to updating my little blog.. I so enjoy sharing some of my favorite things with my favorite people who are now so far away, and anyone else who may stumble upon this...

In love with this city already. So much to do and see at any hour of the day. Starting to feel at home, though undoubtedly there will always be new things to discover. For example, the amazing roof top of our apartment building, which is where some of my lovelies and I shared a glass {or two} of wine before exploring the gallery openings last Thursday. Also stumbled upon Tia Pol where we enjoyed one the the best dinners I have had in the city to date... Delicious Spanish food {and that Sangria....} Very much recommend it.

You can't carry it with you if you want to survive

Shots from the East River, 7.29.10

It's been nearly 3 weeks since my last blog post, and I couldn't even try and begin to give you the short hand. So many amazing things, culminating in my move from la to nyc. Life most definitely at its best. I can't make any promises, but will try and do a better job and keeping an account of my happenings for those I have left on the west coast..

these streets will make you feel brand new.

Why am I having such a hard time writing these essays?? It shouldn't be very difficult to extol on my own virtues? Perhaps I am putting too much pressure on myself, but at the same time getting into these grad schools means everything to me. So I am trying to assuage my doubts and just be positive, and more than that confident in my abilities. I'm finding it to be made a little easier listening to this song, and just keeping New York as my inspiration..

Looking so forward to going out on the town tonight- gallery openings, interesting people, and hopefully some great art..

Hoping everyone is having a lovely weekend..
