I went to MOCA's opening of Double Standard, the Dennis Hopper retrospective this past Saturday night. The show felt underwhelming, though Hopper was doubtless a major presence in the American art scene of the past 40 years, the show didn't do much to honor who he was as a person, actor, writer and collector, which I imagine are the things he will be most remembered for. The stand out was definitely his vintage photography, loved the shots of the beautiful women of the sixties, such as the amazing four of Tuesday Weld..
the MOCA constantly disappoints...on to the MOMA!
