the earth never tires

The earth never tires,
The earth is rude, silent, incomprehensible at first, Nature
is rude and incomprehensible at first,
Be not discouraged, keep on, there are divine things well envelop'd,
I swear to you there are divine things more beautiful than
    words can tell.

this is the way we talk when we talk about

Being my first spring as a pesca vegetarian, I am loving the bursting farmers markets and devouring all
veggie/vegan food blogs, including the new (to me) favorite, Sprouted Kitchen. While working 50+ hour weeks leaves little time to cook, I try and prepare veggies and salads that I can enjoy as a couple different meals. Though I can't imagine anything more delicious to come home too than that chard apple gruyere grilled cheese. Until I can bring myself to make that, I'll settle any day for the veggie club from my neighborhood favorite.

You can come and look if you want to

Saw the Francesca Woodman exhibition at the Guggenheim last weekend, was left speechless. My favorites were the large nude diazotypes. So subtly profound and unnervingly beautiful. I enjoyed this synopsis and comparison to the Cindy Sherman retrospective.

Hide yourself from all I see

It's not inaccurate to say that I have seen these boys live more than any other band. I've seen them play around the country. I've seen them play in their other bands. They're great. And so is their new album. Buy it for some pure California jams.
