Spent a hot second at the Gagosian opening tonight, regretted not taking any pictures because there was some great stuff on view. Am digging Aaron Young's "f* you, I'm cooler than you" deal. I got a kick out of seeing an artist, especially a young one, with all these skater culture references in a big beautiful Beverly Hills gallery. I'm thinking one of the gold plated barricades would make a nice addition to my front entrance, no? Also an interesting, motley mix of things upstairs. I enjoyed seeing the play of the works against each other, what with the Ruscha, Warhol (and some new artists I had never heard of to be honest). Quite a scene- saw many familiar faces, and even indie darling herself Chloe Sevigny was making her way in as I was out.. More tomorrow, as now is time for sleep.
